Privacy Policy
1. Controller
TraceTech, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) trading under the name DutchSponsors ("DutchSponsors"), is the controller for the personal data described in this part. Registered in the Netherlands; KVK 42030838 (registered office address available on request). Data-protection contact: privacy@dutchsponsors.nl.
2. Personal data processed
DutchSponsors processes the following categories of personal data:
- Profile data — field, experience level, languages and proficiency, preferred region(s) and employment type.
- Account data — email address and subscription status.
- Payment data — a transaction record held by the payment provider; full card details are not stored by DutchSponsors.
- Usage data — limited, aggregated analytics, processed only where consent has been given.
3. Data not collected
DutchSponsors does not request or store nationality, racial or ethnic origin or other special categories of data, salary or financial information, or contact details other than the email address.
4. Legal bases
Processing is carried out on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — provision of the matching and alert service.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — non-essential cookies and any optional marketing communications; consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — securing the Service and processing publicly available company and job-listing information (Section p7).
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — retention of accounting records as required by Netherlands law.
5. Purposes of processing
Personal data is processed solely to provide and administer the Service: to generate and deliver matched job alerts, manage subscriptions and payments, respond to enquiries, and improve the Service in aggregate. Personal data is not sold and is not shared for third-party marketing.
6. Automated matching
Matching is performed by software that compares the subscriber's self-declared profile with current job listings. It constitutes a recommendation only and does not produce a decision with legal or similarly significant effect within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. Inferred values may be reviewed on request. DutchSponsors does not carry out behavioural profiling.
7. Third-party and job-listing data
DutchSponsors processes information relating to companies and their publicly available job listings, including the IND public register and employers' career pages; in the majority of cases this constitutes company information rather than personal data. Where a listing contains personal data — for example a named contact or a sole trader — such data, including names, direct email addresses and telephone numbers, is removed at the point of collection and is not stored; only the role, company-level facts and a link to the source are retained. To the extent limited personal data is unavoidably processed, the legal basis is legitimate interest, and this notice satisfies Article 14 GDPR.
8. Processors
DutchSponsors engages processors under data-processing agreements, including a payment provider, an email-delivery provider, EU-based hosting infrastructure and privacy-oriented analytics. Each processes personal data only on DutchSponsors's documented instructions.
9. International transfers
Personal data is processed within the EEA where possible. Where a processor operates outside the EEA, transfers are made on the basis of an adequacy decision, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.
10. Retention
- Profile and account data — retained for the duration of the subscription and erased within 3 months of cancellation.
- Accounting records — retained for 7 years as required by Netherlands tax law.
- Analytics data — retained in aggregate for 14 months.
11. Data subject rights
Subscribers have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. Subscribers may request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time via account settings or by contacting privacy@dutchsponsors.nl. Requests may be submitted to privacy@dutchsponsors.nl and are answered within one month. A complaint may be lodged with the Netherlands supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
12. Security
DutchSponsors applies encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, logging and the principle of least privilege.
13. Cookies
Essential cookies are required to operate the website and are set without consent. Non-essential cookies (analytics, and marketing if introduced) are set only following opt-in consent via the cookie banner; preferences may be changed at any time through the "Consent preferences" link in the footer.
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Sign-in, security, retention of cookie preference | Not required |
| Analytics | Aggregated usage statistics | Required |
| Marketing | Advertising/retargeting, if introduced | Required |
At launch the Service sets only essential cookies (sign-in, security, and storage of your cookie preference). Any analytics used are privacy-oriented and EU-based, and any non-essential cookies are set only after opt-in consent. Third-party providers maintain their own policies; EU-based, privacy-oriented options are preferred.
14. Children
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16, and DutchSponsors does not knowingly process their personal data.
15. Amendments
This part may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the website, and the revision date above amended.
16. Contact and complaints
